This self-proclaimed “Five Star Dive Bar” is one of my favorites in North Mississippi.  The Blue Canoe in Tupelo is a funky, hip joint offering live music most evenings, with one of the largest beer selections in North Mississippi.  Not only is The Blue Canoe a great place to hear some tunes and enjoy a brew, but they also have a unique menu.  The menu is classic southern, meets southern soul food; just check out a few of the selections available:

• Rotel Fries
• Fried Black Eyed Peas
• Shrimp & Crawfish Pesto Pasta
• Dirty Grains with Greens & Things
• Pork N’ Greens – pulled pork atop kickin’ greens and creamy cheese grits

If one of those eclectic mixes do not appeal to your appetite, then you can always choose the sliders or a burger.

• Smash Burger – ground chuck, filet & bacon

Next time you are visiting the birthplace of Elvis, stop on by the Blue Canoe and enjoy a brew along with a fabulous meat.  If you are lucky, you will catch some live entertainment while you dine!
